[ S442 ] Massive Antique Halberd Polearm head Very OLD

S442 Massive Antique Halberd / Glefe Polearm head - blade is heavily water damaged , it almost looks Damascus but that's just from the water where it must have sat for a very very long time, cutting edge has chips etc but the entire piece is still as solid as a rock, Armourers stamps each side of the blade , they look similar to an asterisk mark. I will check my books later & see if I can find who that maker was, Large old blade which i believe to be European but i am not sure where from exactly. The age is hard to determine, I would say 1500s to 1600s but due to the patina its hard to know, it may be circa 1700 but I think its much earlier
