S429 Antique Japanese Samurai O Tanto in Koshirae, fuchi / kashira are lovely old iron set with inlay, plain copper / shakudo tsuba, nice silver habaki & plain black lacquered scabbard.
Blade is nice but badly needs a light polish ,Sword was rebound in Japan in May 2010 & had a light polish but it has obviously not been looked after properly, a light polish is all that's needed to make this a very nice sword once again.
NO FLAWS or open grain anywhere, so a very healthy blade, Cutting edge is 353 mm with a 5mm Sori,
