AM44 Early antique European Armour Gorget, this is quite light weight, the previous owner who was quite a big collector of Armour states this is circa 1600s, Beautiful roped edges & deep bluish hue to the metal work. Condition is extremely good if the age is correct & it most probably is correct.
This one was probably a lighter construction due to very little use of the earlier types of firearms which became more & more common as time wore on. It is also quite small as many of the men were quite little,
