[ S408 ] Lovely Scottish basket hilt with original scabbard circa late 1700s

NOT FOR SALE-DISPLAY ONLY- PART OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION s408 Lovely Scottish basket hilt with original scabbard circa very late 1700s, Its actually a 1798 Pat with what I believe is a much older blade, Very fancy pommel - Hilt is worn silver wash over the brass hilt , some repairs to the basket that appear to be period or at the least very very old, original cloth still inside the basket, very faded & not attached properly any more but easily rectified.. Grip appears to have original covering & wire .
Beautiful multi fullered blade with Andrea Ferarra & assorted armourers stamps.
This incredible still has its original leather over timber scabbard with it, the scabbard is in quite poor condition ,the timber has splits along seams & the leather has come detached in places, however all could easily be repaired, I don't alter or repair anything.
Not your average / standard looking basket hilt & a nice piece all round.
