ww1 Silver presentation piece with photo album from torpedoes ship to rescuers,the trophy is solid silver on a timber base, the center of the cup has a silver grate in which flowers can be stood as a table centre piece,
The inscription reads "To the Officers of H.M.S. "Crocus" From the officers of SS "Calchas" Torpedoed May 11th 1917"
There is a ww1 photo album containing no less then 50 original photographs which include images of the Calchas going down & the men in the life boats.
This is quite a historical little find for any Naval or Maritime collector,
I have had this as part of my own hoard but i have decided to let someone else enjoy it for a while but i don't really mind if i get to keep it for a lot longer.

The silver trophy has not been cleaned & has a lot of years of tarnish built up ,I dont polish up anything as a rule.This is a very hard item to price, some people will have a fit when they see the price, but it is a one off piece, UNIQUE. will trade for a 1st Pat Fairbairn Sykes dagger in excellent condition or a couple of Robbins of Dudley fighting knives.
