Description

Poster shows seven German soldiers and woman wearing a hat looking out a window in a bullet-shaped space capsule headed toward the moon, stars visible in the night sky. One soldier wearing a German spiked helmet looks over the window frame through binoculars down below. Additional dialogue caption reads "Het laatste schot, dat Duitschland doen zal" [The last shot Germany will take]. A smaller caption quotes from the Dagbladbericht, a Dutch newspaper: "Duitschland vershiet 280,000 granaten per dag" [Germany shoots 280,000 shells each day]. Jules Verne's novel "De la terre à la lune" [From the earth to the moon] was published in 1865.
