Poster shows larger caricatures of John Bull carrying a copy of the "Nederl. Brievenpost" in his pants pocket and a thin man with a large nose in tight black trousers, red jacket and white cap, holding a knife and fork behind his back. A smaller caricature of a Dutch man with pipe and wooden shoes, stands with his hands in his pockets between the larger characters. Additional image caption title reads: "Nederland: Ik krijg een beetje pijn in mijn buik, zoo lief als ze tegen me zijn ..." [Netherlands says: I get a little pain in my stomach; so sweet when they are against me].
