Poster shows a lone soldier standing in the rain. His rifle and bayonet are at rest on the ground and he holds the barrell near the top with both hands. Additional caption reads "Uit vrees onze gemobiliseerden al te zeer te verwennen, heeft onze wijze en zuinige Regeering besloten, ze weer hun brieven te doen frankeeren en ook de brieven, aan hun gericht, met port te belasten" [Fearing that the mobilised army is being spoiled, our wise and frugal government decided to charge postage on the letters they send. Letters sent to them will be additionally be taxed.]
