[ S286 ] Japanese Samurai Wakizashi or Otanto full polish with horimono

Japanese Samurai Wakizashi or O'Tanto in old full polish with horimono carving to the blade, suguha hamon with lovely quite course Hada , there are no flaws in the blade, its had quite a few polishes in its time as you can tell mainly by the wear to the horimono but the blade is still very healthy, One side of the blade has a Horimono of a Ken sword the other is just a bohi consisting now of 2 short deeper lines with a faint line joining them, please don't mistake them for a flaw or large open grain in the images, there are meant to be there, 2 mekugi-ana with a 2 character mei on the tang,
Nice fittings all round, matching fuchi/kashira, menuki are very nice, large nodules of ray skin on the tsuka, ornate habaki , scabbard is also a nice old scabbard with polished horn fittings,it has an unusual chamfer along one edge, Inlaid Iron end cap , scabbard has the odd knock & bump along the way but its still very good. old iron tsuba with the odd gold inlaid highlight still present.
a nice original old sword that not been messed with for 100s or years.
this sword was actually papered & i cant find the bloody papers anywhere, so i will sell as unpapered Price-$3550
