[ M1219 ] RARE 1916 Australian book of original photographs presented to Boxer Les Darcy 1916

PLEASE NOTE - The photographs are all excellent condition, the shiny/ white look on some is just from lights-they are all perfect.

M1219 RARE 1916 Australian book of original photographs presented to Boxer Les Darcy 1916, large original black & white pics of Diggers in uniform etc, also of a boxing match, the rear of this book has a presentation to Pte Les Darcy also called (The Maitland Wonder), Australian heavy weight Champion boxer. his record of 56 fights with 52 wins (32 by KO )

The book is green (may be leather on fabric) with gold lettering to the front as per the images, It has the presentation inside the rear cover, a couple of words are hard to read but the important ones can be read ok, it is also typed in the research papers as to what it reads. it has been researched by a well known Sports Memorabilia researcher, he states the Australian war Museum, the State Library not the Nation sports museum have a copy of this in their collections. so its hard to compare it to anything as no others exist that we know of, possible a 1 one off just made for Darcy ? but they may ? have also have done 2 or 3 at the time ? we may never know unless another ever comes on the market but i believe this to be a one off presentation to Darcy
This a RARE collection of ww1 photographs presented too & owned by one of our most famous boxers so it will appeal to both boxing fans & ww1 Australian collectors.
Due to it being such a scarce item I have no idea on what to price it at so please make an offer if interested.
