[ H397 ] 1847 Albert Pat Queens Own Glasgow Yeomanry helmet

Description

1847 Albert Pat Queens Own Glasgow Yeomanry helmet, this is a stunning early Brit helmet, worn by the regiment from 1848. Silvered skull with gilt floral wreath of Scottish Thistles, within that there is scrolling shield decoration surmounted by a Victorian crown. The images will show you the rest of this very elaborate helmet.
Hair trichard / plume has been trimmed - I see this happens a lot with these helmets, you can find the horse hair plumes & replace them but I don't as its no longer original. Chin scales have no leather backing, leather liner is there but quite stiff. skull in good condition,
A nice piece worthy of any headgear collection.
