Description

Enfield percussion Carbine, far from a perfect example but still quite reasonable, good timber, action works fine, complete with all slings & captive ramrod, ll metal work has a dark patina & has possible been re blued many years ago, obviously a long time ago if it's been redone. There is an odd number on the barrel with 3 letters RAJ & is obviously not original from the factory, it maybe something put on there by someone in one of the commonwealth countries if it was issued to one at any point in time or it may be an old collectors number which was required to be added in some states some years ago?
number on opposite side of barrel has probably been put there by a collector as well when it was a required to have numbers put on antique firearms in some states a few years back. it doesn't look like period numbers to me but i may be wrong.
No license required to purchase in Qld. Some other states may require a license & will need to check with Local firearms registry if unsure, It may ? have to be sent dealer to dealer which I will have to check on if anyone outside Qld wants it.
PLEASE NOTE- I wiped oil all over this & the other carbine I have listed, sadly that can make the images a bit ordinary & actually make it appear to be in a lesser condition then what it is in reality.
