ww2 Army SD German helmet- decal practically gone as you can see, so it will still be legal to sell when the idiot new laws come into effect here in Australia,
well marked, Liner & chinstrap pretty much gone, slightly better than a bare shell, I have had this helmet for 20 years maybe more, i kept it because i liked it, the original owner purchased it from a returned vet who swore the dark stains were the blood of a badly wounded German soldier, the way its eaten away the leather that could well be the case, however i always find stories like that very hard to believe. I personally would have through if it was indeed blood it would have long since gone.
Its practically just a nice shell with an unproven/unsubstantiated story attached.
