[ m1499 ] Pair of mounted emu egg shells with painted colour patches

RARE pair of mounted emu egg shells with hand painted scenes with colour patches, Kangaroo & emu tops, hunting dogs on the bottom, egg shells sit in Scottish thistles, oak bases , I have no idea if these were a presentation or what the reason is behind them, i have seen earlier examples from the 1800s with soldiers standing on the bottom below the shells. One has a hairline crack in its shell & the other has a small hole on the edge of the colour patch, all clearly seen in images. exceptional early Australian pieces. Dogs appear to be spelter , unsure of what the tops are,
