[ s391 ] s391 SUPERB English Mortuary hilt sword circa 1600s

s391 one of my swords from my own personal collection - SUPERB English Mortuary hilt sword- this is one of the best examples I have ever seen, fantastic blade marked "Andria Farara" images will show the extent of how good this sword is, It comes with an original iron mounted leather scabbard, however I am not 100% sure the scabbard is correct for this sword, it came on the sword from a very old collection, scabbard is from the same period, very rare to find a scabbard of this age.
Blade is in fantastic condition for its age- the odd patch of dark staining (quite light) & very little if any pitting, quite bright so the scabbard has done its job quite well, Its much nicer in hand than what my images show the blade, the basket has a very old padded liner inserted to the inside, its been there longer than I have lived so I have left it in place.fish skin grip with wire is beautiful, guard/hilt is a beautiful dark brown patina.
